91µÎµÎ President Bradley T. Erford has sent a letter on behalf of the association to the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs providing feedback on the first draft of the 2016 CACREP accreditation standards. 91µÎµÎ applauds the focus on clarification, simplification, and unification and endorses the proposed requirement to standardize all counseling programs, regardless of specialty, at 60 credits. 91µÎµÎ also proposes an end to the student affairs program area and to continue the requirement to maintain membership in 91µÎµÎ and its divisions.
